MOSCOW, November 9. /TASS/. Russian forces struck Ukrainian troops and military hardware in 118 areas over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Thursday.
"Operational/tactical and army aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groupings of forces struck [enemy] manpower and military equipment in 118 areas," the ministry said in a statement.

Russian forces repulsed three Ukrainian army attacks in the Kupyansk area, eliminating roughly 25 enemy troops and three armored vehicles over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Kupyansk direction, units of the western battlegroup supported by aircraft and artillery repulsed three attacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 30th and 67th mechanized brigades near the settlements of Timkovka and Sinkovka in the Kharkov Region. The enemy’s losses amounted to 25 personnel, three armored combat vehicles and three motor vehicles," the ministry said.
In counter-battery fire, Russian troops destroyed two US-made M777 artillery systems, three Akatsiya self-propelled artillery guns and two Gvozdika motorized artillery systems of the Ukrainian army, the ministry said.

Russian forces repelled three Ukrainian army attacks in the Krasny Liman area, killing and wounding roughly 160 enemy troops over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Krasny Liman direction, units of the battlegroup Center, army aircraft strikes and artillery fire repelled three attacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 1st special operations brigade near the settlement of Kremennaya in the Lugansk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The enemy’s losses in the Krasny Liman direction over the past 24 hours totaled "as many as 160 personnel killed and wounded, three tanks, four armored combat vehicles, four motor vehicles and two US-made M777 artillery systems," the ministry specified.
Ukraine’s army suffers 330 casualties in Donetsk area in past day

"In the Donetsk direction, units of the southern battlegroup capitalizing on air strikes, artillery and heavy flamethrower fires inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 30th and 67th mechanized brigades near the settlements of Bondarnoye, Nikolayevka and Kleshcheyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in the Donetsk direction over the past 24 hours amounted to 330 personnel killed and wounded, two tanks, three armored combat vehicles and ten motor vehicles, the ministry said.
"In counter-battery fire, the following targets were destroyed: two US-made M777 artillery systems, two Polish-manufactured Krab self-propelled artillery guns, Msta-B and Msta-S howitzers and a D-30 gun," it said.
Kiev loses 130 troops in south Donetsk area over past day
Russian forces inflicted damage on three Ukrainian army brigades in the south Donetsk area, killing and wounding roughly 130 enemy troops over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the south Donetsk direction, units of the battlegroup East in interaction with army aircraft and artillery inflicted damage by firepower on the personnel and equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 58th motorized infantry, 72nd mechanized and 79th air assault brigades near the settlements of Antonovka, Novomikhailovka, Novoukrainka and Ugledar in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The enemy’s losses in the south Donetsk direction over the past 24 hours amounted to 130 personnel killed and wounded, three armored combat vehicles and four motor vehicles. In counter-battery fire, Russian troops destroyed a US-made M777 artillery system, an Msta-B howitzer and a Grad multiple rocket launcher of the Ukrainian army, the ministry specified.

Russian forces neutralized two Ukrainian subversive groups in the south Donetsk area over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In areas near the settlements of Staromayorskoye and Rovnopol in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the activity of two subversive/reconnaissance groups of the 128th territorial defense brigade was thwarted," the ministry said.

Russian forces repulsed two Ukrainian army attacks in the Zaporozhye area over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Zaporozhye direction, units of the Russian battlegroup, air strikes, artillery and heavy flamethrower fires repulsed two attacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 33rd mechanized brigade near the settlement of Novoprokopovka in the Zaporozhye Region," the ministry said.
In addition, Russian troops inflicted damage on manpower and military hardware of the Ukrainian army’s 117th territorial defense brigade and 118th mechanized brigade near the settlement of Rabotino in the Zaporozhye Region, it said.
"As many as 75 personnel, four armored combat vehicles and three pickup trucks were destroyed," the ministry specified.

Russian forces inflicted damage on Ukrainian troops in the Kherson area, eliminating roughly 75 enemy personnel over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Kherson direction, Russian forces inflicted damage on Ukrainian manpower on Melkiy and Alyoshkinsky Islands. The enemy’s losses amounted to 75 personnel, three motor vehicles and an Msta-B howitzer," the ministry said.

"Air defense capabilities shot down a Ukrainian Air Force MiG-29 plane near the settlement of Koptevo in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.

"Air defense capabilities destroyed 38 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in areas near the settlements of Tavolzhanka in the Kharkov Region, Lipovoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Sergeyevka and Nezhurino in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Skelevatoye, Ulyanovka and Mirnoye in the Zaporozhye Region," the ministry said.
In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 533 Ukrainian warplanes, 254 helicopters, 8,771 unmanned aerial vehicles, 441 surface-to-air missile systems, 13,306 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,183 multiple rocket launchers, 7,035 field artillery guns and mortars and 15,126 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, the ministry reported.
