Russian forces seize several Ukrainian army strongholds in counterattack near Vremevka

The situation in the Vremevka direction has changed lately: Ukrainian troops "are not just fighting off but leaving their positions," Vladimir Rogov reported

MELITOPOL, November 3. /TASS/. Russian forces seized several Ukrainian army strongholds in a counterattack near Vremevka at the junction of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the Zaporozhye Region, Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the We Are Together with Russia public movement, told TASS on Friday.

"We have achieved successes in the Vremevka direction: the enemy mounted attacks in the area of Staromayorskoye and our forces counterattacked west of that community, driving Ukrainian militants away from their positions and seizing equipment and documents. Our forces seized several strongholds with the documents that the enemy had no time to destroy," the politician said.

The situation in the Vremevka direction has changed lately: Ukrainian troops "are not just fighting off but leaving their positions," Rogov said.

The Ukrainian military has been making unsuccessful attempts to advance since June 4. As Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said on October 30, the Kiev regime has lost more than 90,000 troops killed and wounded, about 600 tanks and 1,900 armored vehicles over this period. The Russian defense chief stressed that the Ukrainian military had failed to achieve any significant tactical successes.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on October 15 that the Ukrainian army’s counteroffensive had completely failed, although Kiev was preparing new offensive operations in some frontline areas.
