MOSCOW, November 1. /TASS/. Russian forces destroyed command posts of two Ukrainian army brigades over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday.

"Command/observation posts of units from the Ukrainian army’s 67th mechanized and 31st special operations brigades were destroyed," the ministry said in a statement.

Russian forces eliminate 245 Ukrainian troops in Kupyansk area over past day

Russian forces repulsed two Ukrainian army attacks, eliminating roughly 245 enemy troops over the past day, the ministry reported.

"In the Kupyansk direction, units of the western battlegroup supported by aircraft, artillery and heavy flamethrower fires repulsed in their active operations two attacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 57th mechanized brigade near the settlement of Sinkovka in the Kharkov Region," the ministry said.

The enemy’s losses in the Kupyansk direction over the past 24 hours amounted to "245 personnel, two motor vehicles, two US-made M777 artillery systems, a Polish-manufactured Krab self-propelled artillery gun, an Msta-B howitzer and two Gvozdika motorized artillery systems," the ministry specified.

Russian forces repulsed two Ukrainian army attacks in the Krasny Liman area, destroying roughly 200 enemy troops over the past day, the ministry reported.

"In the Krasny Liman direction, two attacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 47th and 67th mechanized brigades were repulsed by well-coordinated operations of units from the battlegroup Center, army aircraft strikes and artillery fire near the settlement of Petrovskoye in the Lugansk People’s Republic and in the area of the Serebryansky forestry," the ministry said.

In the area of the settlement of Chervonaya Dibrova in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Russian forces inflicted damage by firepower on amassed personnel of the Ukrainian army’s 63rd mechanized brigade, the ministry said.

"The enemy’s daily losses totaled as many as 200 personnel, three motor vehicles and a UK-made AS90 self-propelled artillery system," the ministry specified.

Russian forces supported by aircraft and artillery inflicted damage on Ukrainian manpower and military hardware in the Donetsk area over the past day, the ministry reported.

"In the Donetsk direction, units of the southern battlegroup supported by aircraft and artillery inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 28th and 93rd mechanized and 3rd assault brigades near the settlements of Kurdyumovka and Kleshcheyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.

Russian forces struck Ukrainian army units in the Donetsk area, killing and wounding roughly 245 enemy troops and destroying three tanks, including a German-made Leopard tank over the past day, the ministry reported.

"The Ukrainian army’s losses in that [Donetsk] direction totaled as many as 245 personnel killed and wounded, three tanks, including a German-made Leopard tank, three motor vehicles and two D-30 howitzers," the ministry said.

Russian forces eliminate over 190 Ukrainian troops in south Donetsk area over past day

Russian forces inflicted damage on three Ukrainian army brigades in the south Donetsk area, eliminating over 190 enemy troops in the past day, the ministry reported.

"In the south Donetsk direction, units of the battlegroup East in interaction with army aircraft and artillery inflicted damage by firepower on the personnel and equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 72nd mechanized, 58th motorized infantry and 128th territorial defense brigades near the settlements of Ugledar, Urozhainoye and Staromayorskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army’s losses in the south Donetsk direction over the past 24 hours totaled over 190 personnel, two armored combat vehicles and six motor vehicles, the ministry specified.

Russian forces destroyed roughly 80 Ukrainian troops in the Zaporozhye area over the past day, the ministry reported.

"In the Zaporozhye direction, units of the Russian battlegroup supported by aircraft, artillery and heavy flamethrower fires inflicted damage on the personnel of the Ukrainian army’s 33rd, 65th, 117th and 118th mechanized brigades in areas near the settlements of Rabotino and Verbovoye in the Zaporozhye Region. As many as 80 [enemy] personnel, three armored combat vehicles and two motor vehicles were destroyed as a result of combat operations," the ministry said.

In counter-battery fire, Russian forces destroyed a US-made M777 artillery system, a Polish-manufactured Krab self-propelled artillery gun and a D-30 howitzer in the Zaporozhye area over the past 24 hours, the ministry specified.

Kiev loses 80 troops in Kherson area over past day

Russian forces inflicted damage on Ukrainian army units in the Kherson area, killing and wounding roughly 80 enemy troops over the past day, the ministry reported.

"In the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian army lost as many as 80 personnel killed and wounded and four motor vehicles as a result of damage inflicted by firepower," the ministry said.

Russian combat aircraft shot down two Ukrainian Su-27 fighter jets in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Fighter aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down two Ukrainian Air Force Su-27 planes in areas near the settlements of Kuroyedovka and Novosyolovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours," the ministry said.

Russian forces wipe out Ukrainian ammo depots in Kharkov Region over past day

Russian forces destroyed Ukrainian ammunition depots in the Kharkov Region over the past day, the ministry reported.

"In areas near the settlements of Volchansk and Ogurtsovo in the Kharkov Region, ammunition depots of the Ukrainian army’s 1st special operations brigade were obliterated," the ministry said.

Russian air defenses intercept 8 HIMARS, Uragan rockets, JDAM smart bomb in past day

Russian air defense and electronic warfare systems intercepted eight rockets of the HIMARS and Uragan multiple launch rocket systems and a JDAM smart bomb over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Air defense and electronic warfare capabilities and small arms fire intercepted eight rockets of the HIMARS and Uragan multiple launch rocket systems and a JDAM guided air bomb," the ministry said.

Russian air defenses destroy 48 Ukrainian military drones over past day

Russian air defense forces destroyed 48 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the past day, the ministry reported.

"Air defense capabilities destroyed 48 unmanned aerial vehicles in areas near the settlements of Lozovaya and Olshana in the Kharkov Region, Volnovakha, Podgornoye and Kleshcheyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Zolotaryovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Novoye, Ocheretovatoye and Tarasovka in the Zaporozhye Region, Sagy and Radensk in the Kherson Region," the ministry said.

During the last 24-hour period, operational/tactical and army aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groupings of forces inflicted damage on Ukrainian manpower and military hardware in 129 areas, the ministry said.

In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 520 Ukrainian warplanes, 254 helicopters, 8,512 unmanned aerial vehicles, 441 surface-to-air missile systems, 13,089 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,172 multiple rocket launchers, 6,941 field artillery guns and mortars and 14,865 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, the ministry reported.
