Hamas has no 'Kremlin program' in Moscow or contacts with Kremlin — spokesman

Dmitry Peskov made this statement, commenting the visit of Hamas representatives to Moscow

MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. There will be no contacts between the Hamas delegation in Moscow and the Kremlin, nor will they have any special 'Kremlin program,' Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has told the media.

"In this case, there is no 'Kremlin program' for these representatives. They have no contacts with the Kremlin," Peskov said when asked about Israel's reaction regarding the visit of Hamas representatives to Moscow.

The journalists asked whether Moscow was concerned that the very fact of such a visit, even if the Hamas delegation had no contact with the Kremlin, would cause Israel’s criticism. Peskov replied, "In this case, I have nothing to add."

Tensions flared up again in the Middle East on October 7 when Hamas militants staged a surprise attack on Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip. Hamas described its operation as a response to the aggressive actions of Israeli authorities against the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City of Jerusalem. Israel has declared a total blockade of the Gaza Strip and carried out strikes on some areas of Lebanon and Syria. Clashes are underway in the West Bank as well.
