Russian forces move 500 meters forward near Priyutnoye in Zaporozhye area

"They had no success there and all of their attacks were repulsed," Vladimir Rogov stressed

MELITOPOL, October 23. /TASS/. Russian forces successfully counterattacked Ukrainian troops in the Vremevka area and advanced by 500 meters near the village of Priyutnoye in the Zaporozhye Region, Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the We Are Together with Russia movement, told TASS on Monday.

"We have had success in the Vremevka direction. Our forces conducted successful counterattacks and moved forward by about half a kilometer near Priyutnoye," the politician said.

In addition, Russian forces successfully counterattacked the Ukrainian military near the village of Poltavka, moving about 200 meters forward, he added.

During the last 24-hour period, Ukrainian troops attempted to break through towards the settlement of Novodonetskoye, Rogov said.

"They had no success there and all of their attacks were repulsed," he stressed.

Russia’s Battlegroup East Spokesman Oleg Chekhov reported on October 21 that Russian forces had repelled a Ukrainian army attack near Priyutnoye and also thwarted four enemy attempts to rotate troops in the south Donetsk area.

The Ukrainian army has been making unsuccessful attempts to advance since June 4. As Russian President Vladimir Putin said on October 5, Kiev has lost over 90,000 troops and more than 550 tanks over four months of its counteroffensive. Putin said that the Ukrainian army’s counteroffensive had completely failed, although Kiev was preparing new offensive operations in some frontline sectors.
