BELGOROD, July 31. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military fired over 100 shells at populated areas in the Belgorod Region bordering Ukraine and dropped several explosives from drones in the past day, causing damage to civilian infrastructure, Regional Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on his Telegram channel on Monday.
"In the Valuisky urban district, the village of Novopetrovka came under fire. There are no casualties. One shell hit a garage, causing fire. The fragments of another shell damaged the faсade and smashed windows in a private household," the governor said.
In the Krasnoyaruzhsky district, two artillery shells were fired at the outskirts of the village of Vyazovoye, nine artillery shells at the village of Staroselye and the outskirts of the village of Terebreno and five shells at the area between the village of Kolotilovka and the settlement of Prilesye on July 30. Ukrainian artillery also fired six shells at the settlement of Prilesye, the regional governor reported.
"The shelling damaged two private homes, punctured a roof and fractured a fence. An electric power line was damaged. By now, electric power supply has been restored," he said.
In the Belgorodsky district, 12 artillery shells were fired at the village of Shchetinovka and nine grenades were dropped from drones in the village of Zhuravlyovka on July 30. In the Borisovsky district, the outskirts of the villages of Bogun-Gorodok and Lozovaya Rudka came under mortar fire, with nine and seven mortar rounds hitting the area, respectively, the regional head said.
In the Volokonovsky district, the Ukrainian military fired seven mortar rounds at the outskirts of the settlement of Stary, Gladkov said.
In the Graivoronsky district, the outskirts of the village of Dronovka was shelled, with eight shells hitting the area. In the Shebekinsky district, 18 mortar rounds were fired at the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, eight artillery shells at the village of Krasnoye, eight mortar rounds at the settlement of Leninsky, two mortar rounds and three artillery shells at the Shebekino automobile checkpoint, the governor reported.
"There are neither casualties nor destruction in any of the localities in the district," the regional head said.
