EU blacklists commander of Russian Land Troops General Staff

Alexander Lapin participates in the developments in Ukraine

BRUSSELS, June 23. /TASS/. The European Union has put Alexander Lapin, commander of the General Staff and first deputy commander-in-chief of Russia’s Land Troops, on its blacklist as part of its 11th package of sanctions, the EU Official Journal reported on Friday.

According to the EU Official Journal, sanctions were imposed on Colonel General Lapin due to his participation in the developments in Ukraine.
