MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. Russia will implement all its plans in the space realm and meet all challenges, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the Cosmonautics Day event at the State Kremlin Palace Wednesday.
Speaking about the premiere of "The Challenge" movie - the first film to be shot in space - Putin wished the attendees to enjoy the movie, and wished new scientific, creative and technological achievements to the entire space industry.
"I have no doubt that we will succeed in everything we’ve planned, and will provide a proper response to all challenges," Putin said.
The President noted that opportunities for innovative business, for research teams, and the entire system of preparation of scientific and engineering personnel must be in line with Russia’s national goals and the aspirations of the Russian youth.
"And, of course, for great achievements we need an atmosphere of scientific, creative curiosity, so that the values of our sovereign technological, industrial progress can inspire the people of our country," Putin said.
He noted that the older generation most likely remembers the enthusiasm inspired by popular movies and books.
"And today, the path to technological sovereignty lies through restoration of the best educational traditions. While using cutting-edge solutions, it is necessary to create something of our own, which embodies the dreams of the younger generation about discoveries, about feats that can be found in every profession - and certainly always in space," the head of state concluded.
