MINSK, April 8. /TASS/. The Security Councils of Belarus and Russia will soon finalize work on Moscow ensuring security guarantees for Minsk in the event of external aggression, Belarusian Ambassador to Moscow Dmitry Krutoy said.
"The security councils [of both countries] should finalize all this work literally in the near future, so that we have clear guarantees of our security on the part of the Russian Federation in the event of some military attack on our republic," he said in an interview with the Belarus-1 TV channel aired on Saturday, commenting on the results of the April 6 session of the Supreme Council of the Union State.
The diplomat noted that "work has been absolutely synchronized" on this issue. "And we have definitely never had such a level of interaction over recent years. Yet now both the time and challenges are completely different," the envoy added.
