ANKARA, April 7. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov began talks on Friday with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, according to a TASS reporter.
Lavrov is expected to discuss in detail with the Turkish side energy issues, the conflict in Ukraine, the implementation of the grain deal and efforts toward normalizing the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and the dialogue between Ankara and Damascus.
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday that, ahead of the tourist season, Lavrov and Cavusoglu would also pay heed to the safety of Russian nationals in Turkey.
