GENICHESK, April 3. /TASS/. Russian artillery destroyed a Ukrainian Msta-B howitzer on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson area in the special military operation in Ukraine, a spokesman for the regional emergency services told TASS on Monday.

"Artillery fire near the settlement of Novokairy destroyed a Msta-B howitzer with ammunition at night. Five Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the strike while another three received wounds of various severity," the spokesman said.

Russian artillery fire in the area of the settlement of Otradokamenka obliterated a Ukrainian 120mm mortar with ammunition and its crew on April 2, killing four Ukrainian personnel and wounding another three, the spokesman added.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian artillery continued bombarding the civilian infrastructure on the left bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson Region at night, firing 42 shells against five communities, the spokesman said.
