Kharkov deprived of water, heating after explosions — mayor

Igor Terekhov pointed out that the situation in the city was difficult

MOSCOW, March 9. /TASS/. Water and heating supplies have been cut in Kharkov after explosions on Thursday. The city's mayor, Igor Terekhov, said that water was being distributed by trucks.

"As for the water supply, it has been stopped for now, but we are delivering water by trucks," he said during a Rada TV broadcast.

According to the mayor, work is also underway to restore the heat supply. Terekhov pointed out that the situation in the city was difficult.

Earlier, the head of the regional administration Oleg Sinegubov reported that at least 15 explosions occurred in Kharkov and the region. Terekhov specified that 11 explosions took place in Kharkov. He also reported that a thermal power plant was damaged in the city. According to the regional power supply company, the entire city is de-energized.
