Ukrainian troops deliberately targeting rescuers, medics — DPR head

DPR Emergencies Minister Alexey Kostrubitsky said earlier that Ukrainian troops use drones to adjust fire at rescuers

MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/. Ukrainian troops are deliberately targeting ambulance doctors and rescuers who are working at the sites of Ukrainian shelling attacks in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), DPR acting head Denis Pushilin said on Monday.

"Regrettably, we have seen once again that the enemy is deliberately targeting rescuers and ambulance doctors when they are doing their job. It is atrocious indeed," he said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 television channel.

Ukrainian troops delivered a massive shelling attack on Donetsk on February 23, killing a woman and wounding a man. When an ambulance and rescuers arrived at the scene, they came under shelling as well. The medics were killed and nine rescuers were wounded.

DPR Emergencies Minister Alexey Kostrubitsky told TASS earlier that Ukrainian troops use drones to adjust fire at rescuers.
