MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. Syrian militants organized weapons depots in the Harim and Salkin refugee camps in the Idlib governorate, the humanitarian situation there is deteriorating, Oleg Yegorov, deputy chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria (division of the Russian defense ministry), said on Sunday.

"The Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties is receiving reports about the continuing deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Harim and Salkim refugee camps in the Idlib governorate. According to the available information, militants of the terrorist group Jabhat al-Nusra (Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, outlawed in Russia) have organized weapons and munitions depots at the humanitarian facilities in these camps," he said.

According to Yegorov, terrorists are hindering access to the refugee camps for international organizations in a bid to hide their activities.

"The militants’ actions pose a direct threat to the lives of refugees and are another example of how terrorists use civilians as a human shield," he stressed.
