Russian President emphasized that for decades, Russia has been doing its best to boost ties with the ‘collective West,’ and will keep doing so

MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin called upon ordinary citizens of Western countries to press for having their salaries increased and to distrust allegations that Russia is an enemy.

"Speaking about our message to ordinary citizens of Western countries, of the United States and Europe, I would like to say the following: first of all, fight to have your salaries increased. <…> Second, do not believe those who say that Russia is your enemy or even an adversary. Russia is your friend," the Russian president told a plenary session of the Valdai International Discussion club on Thursday.

He emphasized that for decades, Russia has been doing its best to boost ties with the ‘collective West,’ and will keep doing so.
