DPR has no plans to change curfew rules due to martial law — official

From June 1 to October 1, the curfew will be paused from 23:00 on Fridays to 04:00 on Mondays

DONETSK, October 21. /TASS/. The DPR authorities are not going to change curfew rules or to impose restrictions that might impede the exit of citizens from the region due to martial law, the acting head of the republic, Denis Pushilin, told TASS on Friday.

"Nothing is about to change regarding the curfew for now. I find it reasonable to leave the curfew rules that we established earlier as they are. At the moment, there are no such restrictions (on the exit of citizens from the republic - TASS). We are living in accordance with the originally set rules," Pushilin said.

According to a decree the head of the DPR issued on January 31, 2022, from February 1 to June 1, the curfew in the DPR will be suspended weekly from 23:00 on Fridays to 05:00 on Mondays. From June 1 to October 1, the curfew will be paused from 23:00 on Fridays to 04:00 on Mondays. And from October 1 to December 31, this restrictive measure will be suspended from 23:00 on Fridays to 05:00 on Mondays.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decrees on the introduction of martial law on the territories of the DPR, the LPR, and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions and on measures to tighten security in Russia’s regions.
