Russian, US defense chiefs discuss Ukraine — Russian Defense Ministry

The previous telephone conversation between the Russian and US defense chiefs was held on May 13

MOSCOW, October 21. /TASS/. Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin have discussed pressing issues of international security, including Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

"On October 21, 2022, Defense Minister of the Russian Federation Army General Sergey Shoigu and US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin held talks on the phone. They touched upon pressing issues of international security, including the situation in Ukraine," the statement says.

The previous telephone conversation between the Russian and US defense chiefs was held on May 13 and it also focused on Ukraine.
