GROZNY, April 7. /TASS/. Fighters from Chechnya continue the assault on the Azovstal Plant in Mariupol, which Ukrainian nationalists use as a fortified headquarters in this area, head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov said in his Telegram channel Thursday.
"All attention in Mariupol is glued to the events around Azovstal. The former plant is being used by the banderites as a headquarters in this area. The Nazis turned the plant into a true fortress with a bunker, after carrying out engineering works," he said.
He disclosed that the fighters were visited by State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov.
"He personally examined the assault plan, introduced new corrections, and talked to the fighters," Kadyrov said.
On April 2, the head of Chechnya announced that the Akhmad-Khadzhi Kadyrov battalion has commenced its assault on the Azovstal plant in Mariupol.
