BUENOS AIRES, July 19. /TASS/. Six people died in a magnitude 5.1 earthquake in Peru, Prime Minister Luis Arroyo Sanchez said.
"Regrettably, six people died. We have extended our condolences to their families and visited several affected areas," he told the RPP radio station.
According to him, more than 250 houses were damages and 48 were ruined.
According to the Geophysical Institute of Peru, a magnitude 5.1 earthquake hit are area seven kilometers south of the city of Chupaca in central Perus.
