DUBAI, June 9. /TASS/. An earthquake of magnitude 4.9 has been registered in southern Iran, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center.

It said the epicenter of the tremors was located 113 km northeast of the city of Bandar Abbas (the water area of its port is located in the north of the Strait of Hormuz).

There is no information about casualties or damage.
