Fire in Russia’s Omsk Region kills six, including four children — investigators

A criminal case has been opened

OMSK, May 26. /TASS/. Six people, including four children, were killed as a fire engulfed a private home in the village of Yuryevka in the Omsk Region in southwestern Siberia, the Russian Investigative Committee’s regional department said in a statement.

"A 25-year-old woman of the house, her 12-month-old son and two daughters, aged 2 and 5, as well as her 35-year-old friend and the latter’s son, 14, died in the fire," the statement reads.

A criminal case has been opened. Investigators are inspecting the scene and interrogating the neighbors.
