BELGOROD, May 23. /TASS/. Eight people suffered injuries in Ukrainian attacks on Russia’s borderline Belgorod Region in the past day, Governor Alexander Shuvayev said.
"The Ukrainian army carried out 56 attacks on the Belgorod Region in the past day. <...> The strikes left eight people injured. Two of them were taken to the hospital; one person is said to be in serious condition," he wrote on Telegram.
According to the regional governor, the Ukrainian attacks involved artillery systems and drones. "Thanks to the effective work of air defense and other units, 50 enemy drones were shot down," he added.
