NEW YORK, May 4. /TASS/. At least 12 people were injured in a shooting on Sunday near Lake Arcadia in the US state of Oklahoma, CBS News reported.

The incident occurred in Edmond, a suburb of Oklahoma City. Nine people were taken to a medical center in the state capital, while three others were transported to a hospital in Edmond, representatives of the medical facilities told the channel.

The city police confirmed on X that "emergency personnel transported 10 victims to various metro-area hospitals." According to the statement, the number may change, as several people sought medical attention on their own.

CBS News reported, citing a local police spokesperson, that the shooting occurred at a gathering of young people near Lake Arcadia. No one has been detained so far.

Earlier, local TV channel KWTV-DT reported that, upon arriving at the scene, police found four people with gunshot wounds inside a car.
