SYDNEY, July 7. /TASS/. A 6.2-magnitude earthquake has been registered off the coast of New Zealand, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported.

The epicenter was located 204 km southwest of the town of Riverton, with the tremor originating at a depth of 35 km.

No casualties or destruction were reported. No tsunami threat has been issued.
