Child injured in Ukrainian drone attack on Voronezh — governor

Alexander Gusev noted that the medics will visit this family later again to make sure no other consequences were inflicted

MOSCOW, January 16. /TASS/. An underage girl was injured in the Ukrainian drone attack on Voronezh in southwestern Russia; she was provided with medical aid on the spot, Governor Alexander Gusev said on his Telegram channel.

"According to our colleagues from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a child required medical aid after downed drone fragments fell into an apartment on Teplichnaya Street. A girl, born in 2013, suffered lacerations of hands, legs and neck. Medical aid was provided on the spot," the governor said.

Gusev noted that the medics will visit this family later again to make sure no other consequences were inflicted. The authorities continue door-to-door inspection to assess the material damage.

A state of emergency has been declared in the region after the drone attack.

Previously, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that three Ukrainian drones were downed over the Voronezh Region.
