Ukraine’s court places Metropolitan Pavel under house arrest for two months

The court banned the archbishop from communicating with the faithful

MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. A court in Ukraine has ordered to place Metropolitan Pavel of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), the abbot of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, charged with inciting interfaith hatred and justifying Russia’s actions in Ukraine, under house arrest, a member of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada (parliament) said on Saturday.

"He will spent two months under house arrest," Alexey Goncharenko wrote on his Telegram channel.

The TSN publication specified that the court banned the archbishop from communicating with the faithful.
