Russia’s FSB nabs two clandestine arms workshops

The investigators have seized a large amount of firearms, munitions, explosives and exploders from the suspects

MOSCOW, December 17. /TASS/. Russia’s Federal Security Service has curbed the activity of an interregional criminal group manufacturing arms at clandestine workshops, the FSB press center told TASS on Monday.

"The activity of two illegal workshops on modernizing weapons and manufacturing ammunition has been stopped," the FSB stressed. The operation was carried out jointly with the Interior Ministry and the National Guard.

The criminal group’s suspected organizer and active participants have been detained in Moscow, the Moscow, Bryansk, Kaluga and Nizhny Novgorod Regions.

The investigators have seized a large amount of firearms, munitions, explosives and exploders from the suspects. A criminal investigation will be launched.
