The first Kamaz truck was rolled off the production line on February 16, 1976. Kamaz is a leading manufacturer of heavy trucks in Russia. The company is producing over 40 models of trucks, along with trailers, buses, field engines, power plants, and various tools. Today, heavy duty models are exported to many areas of the world including Eastern Europe, Latin America, China, the Middle East, Indonesia, India and North Africa. The trucks have won the Dakar Rally a record thirteen times. Reinforced Kamaz trucks are used by the Russian army.
