EAEU fully meets demand for almost all agricultural products — PM Mishustin

The Russian prime minister called for expanding this list

CHOLPON-ATA /Kyrgyzstan/, August 7. /TASS/. The Eurasian Economic Union’s member states fully meet their needs for grain, pork and poultry, milk, sugar, oils, and eggs, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council while discussing food security.

"The Eurasian Economic Union fully meets its internal demand for grain, pork, poultry, milk, sugar, vegetable oils, and eggs. We need to expand this list," he said.

"To achieve this, farmers must be supplied with necessary seeds and effective fertilizers. Livestock farming requires safe food and feed additives as well as modern veterinary medicines produced domestically to reduce reliance on foreign suppliers," Mishustin added.
