Energy consumption in Russia could grow by 1.5-2% this year — ministry

Energy consumption was slightly negative, around zero last year, Deputy Energy Minister Evgeny Grabchak said

MOSCOW, April 24. /TASS/. Energy consumption in Russia could grow by 1.5-2% by the end of 2026 after near-zero dynamics in the previous year, Deputy Energy Minister Evgeny Grabchak told TASS.

"Around 1.5-2%," he said when asked a respective question.

"Energy consumption was slightly negative, around zero last year. This year it will be positive," Grabchak said, adding that energy consumption growth in the country currently stands at around 1.1-1.5%.
