MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. Russian oil companies paid 15 bln rubles ($186.8 mln) into the federal budget under the fuel damper mechanism in March 2026, according to materials published by the Finance Ministry. In February, oil companies paid 18.8 bln rubles ($241 mln).
Oil producers received 881.8 bln rubles ($11.31 bln) from the budget under the damper mechanism in 2025, and 1.815 trillion rubles ($23.27 bln) in 2024.
Oil companies receive payments under the damper mechanism from the government when the export price of petroleum products exceeds the domestic price. If the export price is lower than the domestic price, oil companies must compensate the budget for the difference.
