MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. The net worth of Russia's richest businessmen has decreased by $175.95 million since the beginning of this year, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, which is calculated based on the value of companies' shares.
In particular, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, the fortune of EuroChem and SUEK co-founder Andrey Melnichenko increased by $7.71 billion to $26.6 billion. Novatek CEO Leonid Mikhelson earned $2.47 billion, increasing his fortune to $26.2 billion.
Meanwhile, Lukoil oil company founder Vagit Alekperov earned $2.15 billion, increasing his fortune to $24.7 billion. Businessman Gennady Timchenko's fortune increased by $1.93 billion to $16.2 billion.
Pavel Durov, co-founder of the Telegram messenger, suffered the largest losses, with his fortune decreasing by $2.23 billion to $12.2 billion.
Businessman Alisher Usmanov's fortune also decreased by $1.38 billion to $17.9 billion, while Norilsk Nickel President Vladimir Potanin's fortune fell by $1.5 billion to $1.5 billion. And Severstal founder Alexey Mordashov lost $1.23 billion, now standing at $25 billion.
The Bloomberg Billionaires Index, which includes information on the wealth of the 500 richest people on the planet, was first published in March 2012.
