KAZAN, May 19. /TASS/. Over 8,000 people from 96 countries took part in the International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum," which was held in Kazan from May 13 to 18, the press service of the Roscongress Foundation reported.
"During the days of the International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" 8,500 participants and media representatives from 96 countries, including Russia, attended the event. We see that the foreign business community took an active part in the work of this discussion platform," Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the KazanForum Organizing Committee, said as quoted by the press service.
He noted that the forum has cemented its reputation as an important international business event for economic cooperation between Russia and the countries of the Islamic world.
"The dialogue with representatives of these countries will continue at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will take place from June 18 to 21," Kobyakov said.
The 16th International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" was underway from May 13 to 18 in Kazan. The main theme of the Forum in 2025 was ‘Digitalization: New Reality and Additional Opportunities for Expanding Cooperation’. TASS is the general information partner of the event.
