LUGANSK, April 2. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army, using a drone, has launched a strike on the Svatovo gas-distributing station in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), leaving 11,100 consumers in the region without gas, the Luganskgaz company said in a statement on its Telegram channel.
"On April 2, 2025, the Ukrainian armed forces, using an unmanned aerial vehicle, targeted the Svatovo gas-distributing station. The strike hit the hydrate prevention node, which resulted in damage to the gas-distributing station equipment and ignition. Due to the incident, gas supplies were disrupted to 11,129 consumers residing in the town of Svatovo and the villages of Preobrazhennoye, Fomovka, Goncharovka, Pervomayskoye, Melovatka, Svistunovka, Komsomolskoye, Nizhnyaya Duvanka, Novonikanorovka, Petrovskoye, Sosnovy, and Novonikolskoye," the statement reads.
The gas company specified that at 9:50 a.m. Moscow time (6:50 a.m. GMT), its specialists began working on restoring gas supplies. By 3 p.m. Moscow time, gas supply to eight residential areas was restored.
