Belarus, Russia discuss cooperation in rare-earth metals segment

"The mineral and raw materials potential of rare-earth metals of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, technologies and equipment used to mine and process rare-earth metals were discussed during the meeting," the ministry said

MINSK, March 24. /TASS/. Belarus and Russia discussed mineral and raw materials potential of rare metals in both countries and avenues of cooperation in exploration, mining and processing, press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Natural Resources said after talks between Minister Sergey Maslyak and Russian Deputy Minister of Natural Resources Dmitry Tetenkin.

"The mineral and raw materials potential of rare-earth metals of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, technologies and equipment used to mine and process rare-earth metals were discussed during the meeting," the ministry said. The parties also discussed "the potential of extracting rare-earth metals from subsoil use and industry waste and areas of cooperation in rare-earth metals exploration, mining and processing," the ministry added.
