Russian ministry says drawing list of requirements for return of foreign firms to country

The requirements may be made public in the near future, Ivan Chebeskov said

MOSCOW, March 19. /TASS/. The Russian Finance Ministry is drawing up a list of requirements for return of foreign companies to the country as requested by President Vladimir Putin, Deputy Finance Minister Ivan Chebeskov said.

"We are obviously developing [a list of requirements], there has been a request [by the president], which is why we are working. However, we actually need to approve all those requirements, of course, not only inside the governmental subcommittee, but also with key agencies, those being the Industry and Trade Ministry, the Agriculture Ministry, the Energy Ministry, with those agencies we work with within the framework of the governmental subcommittee," he told reporters on the sidelines of Crypto Summit 2025.

The requirements may be made public in the near future, Chebeskov added.

"We are currently working on the issue (of requirements on return of foreign companies to Russia - TASS) and I think that we will be able to announce something in the near future," he said.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that domestic producers should be given advantages in the event of foreign companies returning to the country's market, but this should be done in compliance with the requirements of the World Trade Organization. In turn, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov noted that Moscow would closely consider the return of companies that left its market in 2022.
