MOSCOW, March 18. /TASS/. Products created by residents of Russia’s Center of Unmanned Systems and Technologies contributed to the neutralization of Ukrainian military equipment worth over $1 billion in the past year, the center’s press service said in a statement dedicated to the opening of an exhibition dubbed "Skolkovo: 15 Years of Innovation," hosted by the lower house of Russian parliament.
"A little over a year ago, we established the Center of Unmanned Systems and Technologies in response to the challenges of the special military operation. Since then, we have attracted the best companies, engineers, and communication experts in order to develop wireless attack drones, reconnaissance drones, interceptor drones, communication systems and electronic warfare systems. <...> The enemy equipment that we have taken out is worth over $1 billion. And we will not stop," the press service quoted Alexander Sidyakin, head of the United Russia party’s Central Executive Committee, as saying.
"Domestic military technologies are developing rapidly. The residents of the Center of Unmanned Systems and Technologies are creating high-tech products that help participants in the special military operation perform their combat missions. We have presented nine projects by five of our resident companies at the ‘Skolkovo: 15 Years of Innovation’ exhibition. They include the Hermes communication system, which has already proved its efficiency in ensuring reliable management in a difficult radiofrequency environment, and electronic warfare systems for aircraft designed to scan and counteract the radiofrequency environment in the vicinity of fixed-wing drones. In addition, we have presented an interceptor drone equipped with an automated control system, which is capable of reaching speeds of up to 300 kilometers per hour, and the NIRTA-E5 reconnaissance drone, designed to perform aerial reconnaissance, surveillance, and artillery adjustment missions," Sidyakin added.
The autonomous non-profit organization "Center of Unmanned Systems and Technologies" was founded by Promsvyazbank and the Our Truth non-profit foundation for the support of patriotic initiatives in February 2024 with backing from the Russian Presidential Administration, the State Duma (lower house of parliament), the Federation Council (upper house of parliament), the National Guard, the Moscow city government, and the United Russia party.
