EAEU to sign 2 more free trade agreements with partners by year’s end — Russian Deputy PM

Alexey Overchuk noted that the Russian business community "should study these new opportunities more closely"

MOSCOW, March 18. /TASS/. The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will sign two free trade agreements by the end of 2025, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk announced.

"By the end, we can expect that the EAEU will sign two more free trade agreements," he said.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the Russian business community "should study these new opportunities more closely."

The day before, the Eurasian Economic Commission reported that a full-fledged agreement on a free trade zone between Iran and the EAEU countries would enter into force on May 15, 2025.

Earlier, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov stated that the FTA agreement between the EAEU and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) could be signed in mid-2025. In turn, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin noted that the free trade zone agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Indonesia is in the final stage before being concluded.
