Russia ready to welcome returning companies, no preferences to them — Putin

Russia will in the meantime continue strengthening its technological sovereignty by continuing import phaseout programs, the Russian leader noted

MOSCOW, March 13. /TASS/. Russia is ready to say words of welcome to returning Western companies but will not give preferences to them, President Vladimir Putin said at the press conference after Russian-Belarusian talks.

"We did not shut ourselves off from anyone and did not kick anybody out. To those who want to return, we say, ‘welcome, at any second’," Putin said. Russian authorities will at the same time proceed from the situation evolved to date, he noted.

"If niches are occupied, accordingly, these are occupied. We will not create preferences for anyone for the return to our markets," the Russian leader stressed.

Russia will in the meantime continue strengthening its technological sovereignty by continuing import phaseout programs, Putin noted.

"We will certainly continue all our programs related to strengthening of our technological sovereignty," the head of state added.
