Russia supplied over 2 bln cubic meters of LNG to Europe in January

Total LNG imports by Europe moved up to about 11.5 bln cubic meters in January 2025

MOSCOW, February 5. /TASS/. Deliveries of the Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the European Union were over two billion cubic meters in January 2025, according to data of Bruegel, a European analytical center.

The European Union imported 2.054 bln cubic meters of Russian LNG in January 2025, 2.16 billion cubic meters last December, and 2.059 bln cubic meters in January 2024.

LNG supplies from the US and Trinidad and Tobago surged by more than one time and half as of the end of the last month in comparison to December 2024 and reached 6.64 bln cubic meters - the second highest result during the entire observation period. About 1.5 bln cubic meters of LNG were supplied to Europe from Africa and 937 mln cubic meters from the Middle East.

Total LNG imports by Europe in January, according to Bruegel, moved up 10% annually to about 11.5 bln cubic meters in January 2025.
