Trade turnover between Russia, India up 15% in 10M 2024 — senior Russian MP

Volodin is paying an official visit to India to discuss bilateral cooperation in the economic, socio-cultural, educational and technological spheres

NEW DELHI, February 3. /TASS/. Trade turnover between Russia and India increased by 15% in the first ten months of 2024, Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said at a meeting with Chairman of the Council of States (the upper house of the Parliament), Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar.

"In the past five years bilateral trade turnover increased five-fold and it keeps growing, having increased by 15% from January to November 2024," the senior Russian legislator said, adding that India is one of Russia’s key partners in Asia.

Volodin is paying an official visit to India. The Russian delegation plans meetings with the country’s leadership to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation in the economic, socio-cultural, educational and technological spheres, as well as further development of the inter-parliamentary dialogue.
