MOSCOW, December 11. /TASS/. MTS Urent has completed the deal of acquiring the Belarusian e-scooter development Eleven, the press service of the Russian kick-sharing service told TASS.
"The Urent sharing service controlled by MTS (MTS Urent) and the developer of technologies in the micro-mobile transport sphere Eleven signed a business acquisition agreement. MTS Urent will acquire intellectual property and developments of Eleven," the press service said. The transaction price is not disclosed, it added.
The Eleven Group is working since 2019 as the operator of the scooters sharing service and develops solutions meeting requirements of kick-sharing business needs on the basis of their experience of scooters operation. Core business areas of Eleven comprise development of micro-mobile means of transportation, creation of high-technology components and solutions for operations in the sharing service. "Eleven is implementing the full cycle of devices development, including industrial design, prototyping, software development, organization and support of production on partner sites. Eleven developed two e-scooter models from scratch and successfully tested them in different markets. There is also an e-bicycle and a cargo bike for deliveries," the press service added.
MTS Urent plans to create a center for development of e-scooters and other types of sharing transport, and various sharing technologies such as software, batteries and recharging infrastructure. "Employees of Eleven will continue working within the framework of the RnD center of the united company. The RnD center will also be the base to localize components of e-scooters in Russia," the press service added.
