Serbia to sign new gas agreement with Russia on best terms

Aleksandar Vulin is confident that the Serbian economy will keep growing thanks to cheap energy resources from Russia

RAS AL-KHAIMAH, December 6. /TASS/. Serbia plans to sign a new gas supply agreement with Russia on the best terms soon, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin said.

"I think that we will have a new gas supply agreement soon," he said at the Verona Eurasian Economic Forum.

It will be reached at the best terms, Vulin noted. "Yes, we will sign a new agreement soon, and we have outstanding terms, the best of what is possible," the official said, adding that he is confident that the Serbian economy will keep growing thanks to cheap energy resources from Russia.

Serbia plans to sign a new gas agreement with Russia next spring on the same terms, the country’s government minister in charge of international economic cooperation Nenad Popovic said earlier.
