Russia interested in opening direct air service with Pakistan

Plans to implement the test launch of container trains from Pakistan via the North-South international transport corridor were discussed in terms of the rail transport

MOSCOW, December 3. /TASS/. Russia is interested in having direct air connectivity with Pakistan, the Ministry of Transport said after the meeting between Minister Roman Starovoit and co-chairman of the Russia-Pakistan intergovernmental commission and Energy Minister of Pakistan Sardar Awais Legahri.

"The Russian side confirmed the interest in opening the direct air service between our countries. Consultations of aviation authorities of Russia and Pakistan will be held in coming days," the ministry informed.

Plans to implement the test launch of container trains from Pakistan via the North-South international transport corridor were discussed in terms of the rail transport.

The ministers met on the verge of the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission.
