MOSCOW, December 2. /TASS/. Over 300,000 personnel have undergone combat training in reserve regiments for deploying to the special military operation area in Ukraine, Head of the Main Combat Training Department of the Russian Armed Forces Ivan Buvaltsev said in an article for the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper on Monday.
"Serious successes have been achieved in reserve regiments. These are the formations, which train servicemen who have voluntarily signed contracts for their participation in the special military operation. Seven companies of instructors and eight training companies set up for these purposes have trained over 300,000 personnel," the defense official said.
Military instruction pays special attention to servicemen’s individual training. The personnel acquire skills in shooting practice, tactical and engineering training, tactical medicine and special instruction depending on military specialty, he said.
The stage of single training is completed with comprehensive tactical drills, in which servicemen learn the tactics of operating as part of combat elements and small tactical groups, namely, combat duos, trios and quintets, he said.
The personnel training was based on the careful study of the combat experience gained in the special military operation in Ukraine. The techniques and methods elaborated in this process were promptly introduced into combat training. The system of combat training organized in this way has proven its efficiency, the defense official stressed.
