MOSCOW, September 28. /TASS/. The United Russia party has consolidated its leadership after the parliamentary elections and now bears even greater responsibility, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"Following the elections, United Russia has solidified its leadership. This means that the responsibility for the course and dynamics of the legislative process, as well as for the overall outcome will become even greater," he said at a meeting with the leaders of political parties.

"I am sure that United Russia will build comradely, partner cooperation with other factions, as it did before, and will ensure the traditionally effective and fair representation of all political forces in the Duma governing bodies and parliamentary committees," he added.
