MOSCOW, December 3. /TASS/. Sales of new passenger cars in Russia reached 120,000 units in November 2024, up by 11% year-on-year and down by 29% month-on-month, according to figures provided by the Industry and Trade Ministry.
In November, sales of light commercial vehicles amounted to 14,200 units, up by 28% year-on-year and down by 12% month-on-month. Sales of trucks equaled 9,000 units in the reporting period, down by 25% in annual terms and by 31% in monthly terms. Sales of buses reached 1,800 units last month, up by 30% year-on-year and down by 2% month-on-month.
Overall sales of new vehicles increased by 7% in November 2024 year-on-year and decreased by 27% month-on-month to 145,000 units.
Russia’s market of new cars amounted to 1.69 mln units in January-November 2024, which is 44% higher than in the same period last year.
In particular, sales of new passenger cars in the reporting period totaled 1.4 mln units (+53%), sales of light commercial vehicles amounted to 126,200 units (+37%), sales of trucks equaled 113,500 units (-11%), while sales of buses reached 18,200 units (+17%).
