Oil pipeline from Hungary to Serbia to be built by 2026 year-end — Transneft

The new branch pipeline will be connected to the Druzhba oil pipeline

MOSCOW, December 2. /TASS/. A new oil pipeline between Hungary and Serbia for a connection to the Druzhba oil pipeline will be built by 2026, the Russian oil pipeline operator Transneft said in its corporate magazine.

"The construction project of the main oil pipeline between Hungary and Serbia is one of the most important for Transnafta Pancevo. The new branch pipeline will be connected to the Druzhba oil pipeline. We will be able to diversify oil supplies and will not depend on the Republic of Chroatia," the news outlet said, citing Executive Director of Transnafta Pancevo Aleksandar Djurdjev.

The project is intended to be implemented by 2026, the magazine said.
