MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/. Retail turnover in Russia in October 2024 increased by 4.8% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 4.825 trillion rubles ($42.64 bln), in January-October retail turnover increased by 7.5% to 45.066 trillion rubles ($398.31 bln), according to the Rosstat report on the socio-economic situation in Russia.
"Retail sales in October 2024 amounted to 4,824.6 bln rubles, or 104.8% (in comparable prices) of the corresponding period of the previous year, in January-October 2024 - 45,066.2 bln rubles, or 107.5%," the statement said.
In October, retail turnover was 96.1% formed by trade organizations and individual entrepreneurs operating outside the market, the share of retail markets and fairs was 3.9% (in October 2023 - 95.7% and 4.3%, respectively).
In the structure of retail sales, the share of food products, including beverages and tobacco products was 47.1%, non-food products - 52.9% (in October last year - 46.2% and 53.8%, respectively).
