MOSCOW, November 12. /TASS/. The production of Russian unmanned aerial systems (UAS) will surge by almost nine times, from 17,600 in 2024 to 157,000 by 2030, according to a presentation by Andrey Dobryakov, Deputy Head of the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya), at the plenary session of the Aerospace Congress.
The share of Russian drones in the domestic market will grow from 41.5% to 70%.
"The share of Russian-made UAS is set to increase significantly, from 40% to 70%. The total number of Russian-made UAS is expected to grow to 157,000 units," Dobryakov said.
The construction of UAS research and production centers supporting development, testing, certification, manufacturing, and market entry of drone systems is planned in 48 regions.
The number of regions outfitted with infrastructure for drone flights is projected to increase from three to eighty-nine.
